Microsoft announces the new generation of Surface computers
On Wednesday, Microsoft announced the new generation of Surface computers, coinciding with its celebration of 10 years since the launch of its first tablet computer (Surface).
During the event, which was held in New York City, USA, the American technology giant showcased the Surface Laptop 5, the Surface Pro 9 hybrid tablet, and the all-in-one desktop computer. Surface Studio 2+.
Microsoft said that the price of the 13.5-inch Surface Pro 9 and Surface Laptop 5 starts at approximately $1,000, while the powerful Surface Studio 2+ desktop computer for creators and content creators starts at $4,300.
Microsoft added that the new Surface computers will run on the operating system (Windows 11), which was launched in the market last year, and will go on sale in a number of global markets, starting from October 25, and then in other markets in the coming months.
Pro 9
The Surface Pro 9 hybrid computer, which can be used as a laptop or tablet, has two models, the first: it contains the 12th most powerful and latest generation of Intel processors, and its price starts from $ 999, and the other: it contains the Microsoft (SQ3) SQ3 processor based on the On Qualcomm's Snapdragon processors, its price starts at $1,299.
Thanks to this processor, this model supports connectivity to 5G networks, has a battery life of up to 19 hours, and contains a neural processing unit that allows it to perform some artificial intelligence-based tasks, such as: automatic framing and background blur during video shooting.
Unlike previous versions, in which the computer came in gray only, and the color could only be customized via the cover and keyboard, the Surface Pro 9’s aluminum chassis features itself in four colors: blue, green, gray, and silver, in addition to a copy Especially with blue flowers, in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Tablet. Note that the color options for the device are exclusive to the Intel processor model, but the colors are available for the cover and keyboard for both models.
As for other computer specifications, it offers a 13-inch screen with a resolution of 2880 x 1920 pixels, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and the screen also supports Dolby Vision technology. The computer has a Thunderbolt port that allows it to be connected to two 4K displays.
Surface Laptop 5
Similar to the Surface Pro 9, the laptop is powered by the 12th version of Intel processors, and it has two models in terms of the screen: the first is 13.5 inches, and the other: 14 inches, and the screen in both supports touch.
Microsoft says that the battery life is up to 17 hours, and for the first time the computer has a Thunderbolt 4 port that allows it to be described with 4K screens.
For those who prefer watching video content on a computer, the Surface Laptop 5 supports both image and audio technologies: Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Atmos.
Surface Studio 2+
This computer is the successor to the Surface Studio 2, which was launched in 2018. It offers a 28-inch touch screen. Thanks to the hinge, the screen can be raised and lowered to draw on it with the smart stylus that magnetically sticks to the side of the screen, which can be divided into 4 sections, each measuring 14 inches, and perform different tasks at the same time.
Unlike the other two computers, the desktop computer (all-in-one) contains the eleventh generation of Intel Core H-35 processors. However, similar to the Surface Laptop 5, it supports both image and audio technologies: Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Atmos. The computer comes with USB-C and Thunderblot ports.
